The Bodrum peninsula suits mixed-age groups because the distances are short. Karaada and Orak Island are both within an hour of Milta Bodrum Marina, so nobody spends the day in transit. Summer mornings are calm and the meltem arrives in the afternoon, which is why our family days start early and finish in sheltered water. June and September are gentler on the very young and the very old than the heat of August, with more yachts to choose from. Milas-Bodrum Airport is about 45 minutes away for relatives flying in.
