Island hopping in Fethiye stays inside the enclosed gulf, so the day is calm from start to finish and suits beginners and children. The islands are quiet stops for swimming and short walks rather than ports with traffic, which keeps the day unhurried. The season runs April to November, with warm water from June to October. Göcek is an equally good starting point for the same islands from the other side of the gulf, about 50 minutes from Dalaman Airport.
